The Detroit-Wayne County Consumer Family Advocate Council (CFAC) convened its 9th Annual CFAC Conference on August 20th at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. The theme this year was "Hurdling Obstacles Toward Success."

Approximately 200 people turned out for the event. Motivational speakers addressed issues pertaining to stigma, employment, housing and education. Vendors and a wide variety of display tables offered free information and materials. The conference was education, fun and provided a great forum for consumers and their supporters to network.
