Recovery Markers Questionnaire

The Recovery Markers are a set of questions that help a person see if they think or feel they have what they need to move forward strongly on their recovery journey. These Recovery Markers were developed by listening to people talk and write about what was important to them, and what helped them get better.

It can sometimes be hard to know if one is getting better or improving. Many of these questions can help you know. This is how the Recovery Markers Questionnaire can help you track progress:

Answer the Recovery Markers Questionnaire now and put the answers away after you have looked them over. Then make a note on a calendar and come back and answer the Recovery Markers questions again (like in 3 months). In another three months take the Recovery Markers Questionnaire again and look back over the last six months to see if you are seeing any improvement.

If there is an answer that is consistently low, that may become a personal recovery goal that you might want to work on, or have improvement in that area become a part of your person-centered plan. As an example: you might want to work on physical health or on having more good days than bad days.
