Independent facilitation

Independent Facilitators are Peer Support Specialists who support the person-centered planning process.  As an alternative to working with mental health provider staff, consumers sometimes prefer to develop their person-centered plans with the assistance of an Independent Facilitator.  Community mental health providers are required to make independent facilitation services available to any consumers who receive community mental health services.
