NAMI Michigan will present the Connection Recovery Support Group Program on June 22nd at the 2nd Annual Peer Support Specialist Conference in Lansing. The workshop will focus on how Peers can start groups in their communities. This session will be lead by Larry Ackerman, A Certified State Trainer from NAMI Michigan, and Lori Eva, a NAMI Basics and Certified NAMI Connection Facilitator.

Connections Groups are open to consumers with any mental health diagnosis. Groups are designed to encourage, support and empower consumers. There are currently over 400 groups nationwide and new groups are forming throughout the country.
