Peers are doing great things at Manistee-Benzie Community Mental Health,  and they are thrilled to be doing them.

Carolyn Pifer, Certified Peer Support Specialist, facilitates Solutions to Wellness and PATH (Personal Action Toward Health) groups. She works hard to get people in the gym and on their feet. Deborah Krieger, another Certified Peer, says the work she does has changed her life. She takes what she learns about health and wellness to her second job where she and her husband oversee the Lake Buff Bird Sanctuary. While bird watching, she talks to local visitors about the value of walking and incorporating wellness into recreational activities.

Joan Gamache, the Integrated Health Project Coordinator, is excited that Peers are making health and wellness programming available to consumers and their families.

I was inspired by the enthusiasm of Peers in Manistee-Benzie.

Way to go Peers!
