On March 24, 2010 the Michigan Association of Clubhouses and the Michigan Department of Community Health sponsored a day long meeting in Lansing to educate, celebrate, and expand opportunities for community inclusion for clubhouse members and colleagues. The day began with a moving recovery story which will be posted on this website at a future date.
The morning presentation was given by Jack Yatsko, Associate Executive Director for Programs at the International Center for Clubhouse Development. His speech entitled, "Relationships: The Foundation of the Clubhouse Community," was a moving testimonial to the power of recovery and the critical role relationships play in building a meaningful life in the community.
