The Michigan Recovery Center of Excellence is soliciting information from community mental health stakeholders about news and events pertaining to recovery. The community mental health system in Michigan is undergoing a dynamic transformation. We would like your assistance bringing attention to some of the changes you are creating or witnessing in your region. We are particularly interested in information about consumer-run initiatives and stories documenting the important work being done by Peer Support Specialists throughout the state. Information about evidence-based, emerging or promising practices is also welcome.
If you would like to share information about news or events taking place in your area, please return to the home page of this web site and go to “Suggest News” or “Suggest Events.” For news items, complete the electronic form, including the suggested title and content of your story, and hit “Suggest” at the bottom of the page. For events, complete the electronic form and hit “Update” at the bottom of the page to add the event to our calendar. Your news and events items will be submitted electronically to the MRCE staff for their review. Selected news and events will be posted on www.mirecovery.org.
If you have heard, read or written something that has provided you with inspiration or insight about the issue of recovery, please consider submitting it to be posted on the “Reflections on Recovery” section of the web site. Simply go to “Contact Us” and send us an email. In addition to your quote, please include the name of the person, group or resource you are referencing and any other information you believe to be relevant.
We hope you will consider sharing your news, events and other information with the MRCE so that we can continue to stimulate dialogue about recovery. If you have questions or would like assistance using any of the features of this web site, please contact us.
