Call for Suggestions
The Peer Support/Consumer Subcommittee needs your help.
As a sub-group of the Detroit-Wayne County Community Planning Council and the Virtual Center of Excellence (VCE) Workforce Development Committee, the Peer Support/Consumer Subcommittee is focused on identifying the training needs and professional development goals of the peer-trained workforce within Wayne County.
We are currently seeking comments, suggestions and/or recommendations from peers, consumers, mental health professionals, family members and other stakeholders from across the State of Michigan.
Your comments will be used to guide the subcommittee’s recommendations to the larger VCE Workforce Development Committee regarding the design, development, implementation and coordination of training events specifically for Certified Peer Support Specialists and other members of the peer-trained workforce. VCE trainings and courses are available to anyone, regardless of which county you live in. There are currently 16,000 individuals registered at the VCE and they receive updates and announcements by E-mail.
